HESPERIA, Mich. (AP) — The body of a missing hiker has been discovered in a national forest in Michigan’s western Lower Peninsula.
Lisa Casler, 54, of Coopersville was hiking and looking at birds in the Huron-Manistee National Forest last weekend. Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast said no foul play was suspected.
Casler’s body was found Tuesday, not far from her car, about 60 miles (96.5 kilometers) north of Grand Rapids.
“It could have been a medical event or exposure or a combination of both,” Mast told the Oceana County Press.
