MIDLAND COUNTY (WXYZ) — A boil water advisory has been issued for residents in Edenville, Hope Township and north of Baker Road in Midland County following massive flooding and breach of a dam.
County officials are warning residents who have groundwater wells submerged by flood waters to not drink their water until it has been disinfected and tested.
The boil water advisory for Edenville, Hope Township and north of Baker Road is due to the proximity of these areas to the Edenville Dam. These areas have been impacted by loss of water pressure, officials said Wednesday.
Additionally, City of Midland residents and township customers who get their water service from the City of Midland Water Treatment Plant are not impacted by the advisory, and can continue to drink their water.
