Two brothers are facing homicide charges in the death of their mother who suffered from a disease that made her lose control of her bodily movements.

Trenton police said they believed the men neglected their mother Vicki Balogh at a time when she needed them most.

Grant Balogh, 33, and Gabriel Balogh, 31, were charged with homicide and vulnerable adult abuse. Both men are jailed on a $200,000 bond.

According to police, Vicki Balogh died on October 23, 2016. One of the sons drove her body to Beaumont Hospital, but police say she had been dead for several hours when her body was transported.

Vicki Balogh suffered from Ataxia, which is a neurological condition resulting in the loss of full control of bodily movements.

It's not clear why it has taken this long to charge the men.
