Brothers charged in armed robbery of poker room

Posted

In handcuffs, the Frederick brothers came into a courtroom to face a judge for their preliminary hearing.

They are charged with a lengthy list of crimes after an armed robbery last month during a charity poker game at Momo’s Poker Room in Taylor.

Nickolas Frederick, 30, and Daniel Frederick, 29, are both charged with three counts of Armed Robbery, 25 counts of Felonious Assault, and Felony Firearm.

According to police, two men walked in to Momo’s with guns and ordered everyone to the ground. More than a dozen people were inside at the time.

The intruders escaped with thousands in cash.

The brothers were later arrested, along with 26 year old Michael Pennington. Though Pennington’s charges are just as serious, he is out on bond.

The hearing was adjourned Monday morning until all three defensive attorneys look at several videos recorded at the time of the crime.

In order for the Fredrick brothers to get out of jail, in the mean time, they have to come up with $200,000 bond each.

They will be back in court on May 23.
