Bucharest Grill will open its fifth location with a return to downtown Detroit.
Owner Bogdan Tarasov confirmed to Crain's Detroit Business and Eater Detroit on Wednesday that the restaurant will be opening its newest location in August at 436 W. Columbia St.
Tarasov told Crain's that he wants to recapture the local traffic that was lost after moving out of the downtown area in 2016. That restaurant was located inside of The Park Bar, 2040 Park Ave, and was relocated to the Rivertown area, just off of E. Jefferson.
The new location will be larger and offer more dishes and cater to bigger parties in an effort to attract new customers, Tarasov said. It will also serve alcohol.
The new building will be 5,500-square-feet and will be around an $800,000 investment.
