The newest Cabela's location in Chesterfield Township will open Thursday morning with a big celebration.
According to Cabela's, the grand opening celebration will begin at 9:45 a.m. before it officially opens at 10 a.m. with a ribbon being cut by an employee shooting a bow & arrow at the ribbon.
Country music artist and Cabela's ambassador Lucas Hoge will perform from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the opening, and one of the first 500 people in line will get a free Cabela's gift card, worth up to $500, and a chance to win one of three Remington firearms.
The 90,000-square-foot store is on Towne Center Blvd. near Hall Rd. and I-94.
It will offer customers an immersive outdoor experience, with Cabela's Conservation Mountain, wildlife display, vintage outdoor photos, memorabilia and designs specific to Michigan.
There will also be an archery and firearm tech room, indoor archery range, bargain cave and much more.
The store will be the fourth in Michigan with locations in Dundee, Saginaw and Grandville.
