The Michigan Department of Management and Budget says Cadillac Place in Detroit will be shut down this morning because of a security incident.
Police say officers from both Michigan State Police and the Detroit Police Department were doing a "protective sweep." We're told an unidentified man went into an unauthorized elevator inside the building early this morning.
Michigan State Police say the building is now clear and there is no reason for concern. The building is closed this morning as a precaution. Cadillac Place is expected to reopen at noon.
Cadillac Place will remain closed till noon today. Some employees are entering the building early to get ready for normal operations.
