The driver of a Chevy Camaro who was being investigated hit a Detroit scout car then made a u-turn and side-swiped the police car again before fleeing Tuesday.
According to Detroit police, the incident happened at 3:55 p.m. in the 19900 block of Oakfield.
Police say the occupants inside the blue Chevy Camaro were under investigation when the driver initially put the car in reverse and hit the scout car.
The scout car had minimal damage and no officers were hurt.
Police describe the car as having two air vents on the hood. The vehicle also has white stripes on the hood and trunk and a temp sticker in the back.
