The Somerset Collection is offering complimentary kid-friendly summer programming for ages three and up from July 25 to Aug. 10. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in North Grand Court, children can take part in fun and engaging activities with storytelling, sing-a-longs and gifts to take home.
Camp at the Collection is produced by Children's Theatre of Michigan and features 45-minute programs designed to be interactive, entertaining and educational.
Each day's program begins with a sing-a-long and an introduction to the day's theme. Next, the session's guest counselor will do a high-energy demonstration that calls on a few members of the audience to begin the fun and then moves into all children enjoying the day's activity.
"Campers" are then told there is a gift waiting for them from the session's store of the day so their learning can continue -- and the day's program wraps up with a final song.
Camp at the Collection programs are as follows:
Tuesday, July 25 - Rebekah Quinn and Hoop-ology
Thursday, July 27 - Miss Constance and the Darling Kids Yoga Obstacle Course
Tuesday, Aug. 1 - Funwizz and his Good Old-Fashioned Game Day
Thursday, Aug. 3 - Juggle-lots with LisaMarie and RicRocZoo
Tuesday, Aug. 8 - Fun in the Great Outdoors with Northface
