DETROIT (WXYZ) — A community mourns and demands justice in the murder case of six-year-old Tai'Raz Moore.

The little boy was murdered execution-style along with his father's girlfriend, according to authorities. They found the pair in the basement of a home in Warren.

Tai'Raz's father was found slain the same day miles away in Detroit, in a burned-out car.

A candlelight vigil was held Friday at Erma Henderson Park. Detroit Councilwoman Mary Sheffield organized the rally that called for justice in all three homicide cases.

"Say his name," Sheffield said. "So, that whoever did this could be caught."

Tai'Raz's emotional mother spoke to the crowd of about 200 people.

"My baby is gone," his mother said. "My baby was only six."

She also said she would be an advocate to end gun violence against children.

There is a growing reward in the case that has sent shockwaves through metro Detroit.
