I-96 reopens after hours long closure

UPDATE: The freeway has reopened as of shortly before 11:00 p.m.

Previous story:

A vehicle crashed and is on fire in the shoulder lane of eastbound I-96 at Evergreen, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

All lanes are closed due to the crash.
