The case against a man suspected of setting a fire that killed five people could go to the prosecutor Friday.

Police say the man had a dispute with someone who lived there.

The fire broke out Wednesday at an apartment building on Detroit's east side. Residents jumped from windows to try to get to safety. Four people were hospitalized, two of them in critical condition.

7 Action News has also learned that the building was not registered and had not been inspected for years.
