(WXYZ) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports a new outbreak of E. coli linked to romaine lettuce. This current outbreak is different from two other outbreaks reported earlier in the year.
The current outbreak, which is linked to the brand Tanimura & Antle. The company's packaged, single-head romaine lettuce has been identified in six states, including Michigan. The lettuce was recalled on Nov. 6.
Twelve people have been infected, and five have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
