Dog best friends Willy and Buck have found their forever home, according to the Taylor Animal Shelter.

The unlikely Chihuahua and husky duo were found running loose together in Lincoln Park back in May and have been inseparable ever since.

Once the dogs were put up for adoption, a family from Monroe spotted the husky on Petfinder and scheduled a time to meet him.

They say It wasn't until they got to the shelter that they learned about his friend Buck.

"We got Buck out too, they just reacted really well together, so we talked about it and decided we'd take them both," said Scott Sheehy.

The family picked up Willy and Buck from the shelter this morning and say they've been doing really well, just taking in the new environment.
