The City of Detroit is working to create safe spots for children and families to enjoy Halloween.

Every single police precinct will be open for Trunk or Treat, fire stations 30, 33, and 58 are also getting in on the fun with decorations and candy, and there will be a large haunted park set up at Varier Park on Outer Drive and Greenfield.

This is the first year for the haunted park on Detroit's west side.
It'll be open for families from 5 to 8 tonight. There will be a maze, spooky readings, candy and games for all ages.

A dozen other recreation and family centers will also be open with haunted hallways, mazes, pumpkin fun and of course candy.
