CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — It’s a new look in 2019 for C.J. Barrymore’s.
The Clinton Township mainstay is upping the ante this season with four new rides being unveiled this week, including a 110-foot tall ferris wheel.
There is also a 120-foot tall “drop tower” that serves two purposes: one side raises four people in a vehicle and drops them at speeds of roughly 45-50 miles per hour.
On the other side of the ride, there is a pod for two people that essentially sling-shots brave souls into the sky — attached to bungee cords and harnesses — for a back-and-forth ride before being lowered back to the ground.
The amusement park opened to school rides earlier this year, but is approaching full operations — beginning this weekend, you’ll have a chance to ride the newest rides, and check out the classics including go-karts, bowling, batting cages and the roller coaster.
