EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A man and woman have been arrested for allegedly stealing copper pipes from a home in Eastpointe. The two were caught when a resident noticed one of the suspects climb the window of a home in the 15300 block of Charles R. Street.

Derwine Hall and Lakisha Williams, an alleged accomplice, were arrested and charged with second-degree home invasion.

The incident happened on April 29.

The defendants were arraigned in 38th District Court Tuesday, and are being held on $100,000 cash bonds.

The Eastpointe Police and Fire Department thanked the resident for spotting the alleged thieves and continued to encourage the community to say something if they see something.
