(WXYZ) — There are two petitions circulating online that aim to have Michigan high school football played in the fall. The petitions come just a few days after the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) postponed the season until spring.
"We believe kids are safer at the felids (sic) with precautions rather than every day life. The MHSAA didn’t even give us a chance to show our pride to keep football safe and family at homes," one of the petitions reads.
The #LetThemPlay petition hopes to have MHSAA Executive Director Mark Uyl to reverse the decision and go with the vote taken by hundreds of high schools.
