(WXYZ) — Employees from Amazon's Hazel Park delivery station delivered thousands of face shields to Detroit Public Schools.

The donation will provide one face shield for every student currently registered for in-person learning within Detroit Public Schools.

The face shields are valued at over $15,000.

Amazon says the donation is an example of innovation to support communities around the country.
