(WXYZ) — Fairlane Town Center is closed for deep cleaning Wednesday after a patron who attended a movie at AMC Theatres tested positive for COVID-19.
The patron saw the movie on March 10.
Health officials are not able to confirm if the patron spent time within the center, as the theater's entrances and exits are outside the mall.
As a precautionary measure, the town center will undergo an "enhanced deep cleaning" and will reopen Thursday, March 19 at noon.
Fairlane has implemented reduced hours in wake of the coronavirus outbreak. It is open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
