(WXYZ) — The Marijuana Regulatory Agency is taking steps in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Per an executive order signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Monday, licensed marijuana provisioning centers and adult-use retailers may provide home delivery services, according to a press release.

The MRA must approve the delivery procedure used by the designated licensed facility or adult-use establishment. The MRA is also encouraging the use of home delivery when applicable.

Temporarily, the use of home delivery will be allowed for patients and customers whose residential address may not be the address identified on their state issued identification card.

The MRA will also allow curbside pickup; customers can stay in their cars in the parking lot of a center or adult-use establishment. Customers may complete an order including payment for their product via the internet or they may place their order once parked at the facility.
