Michigan confirms 1,156 additional COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths over past 2 days

(WXYZ) — There is a total of 107,371 cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and 6,538 deaths, the state reported Monday.

Over the last two days, the state confirmed 1,156 new cases and four additional deaths.

The state noted on Monday that the case count represented new referrals of confirmed cases since Sept. 5. Over the two days, the average number of new confirmed cases is 578 per day, according to the state.

As of Sept. 4, 80,678 have recovered from the virus.
