(WXYZ) — Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order allowing gyms and pools to reopen in Michigan under strict safety protocols.

Those inside gyms must wear masks at all times, including times of exercise; additionally, workout stations or protocols must be implemented to enable six feet of distance between individuals during exercise sessions.
Class sizes also must be reduced to enable at least six feet of separation between individuals.
Capacity is limited to 25% of total occupancy units for all sports and exercise facilities.
Equipment-cleaning products must be provided throughout the facility for use on equipment. Hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, soap and water or other disinfectants must be readily available.
Steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis and cold plunge pools must be closed.
For swimming pools, facial coverings must be worn at all times except when swimming.
Additionally, if swimming pools are outdoors, bather capacity must be limited to 50%. If indoors, it must be limited to 25%.
Capacity on the pool deck should be limited to ensure social distancing.
