Michigan reports 1,316 new COVID-19 cases, 34 deaths

(WXYZ) — There have been 582,719 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15,396 total deaths in Michigan, the state reported Tuesday.

That's up 1,316 cases and 34 deaths. Eighteen of the deaths reported Tuesday were identified during a Vital Records review.

As of Feb. 18, there have been 80 new COVID-19 outbreaks in the state. Overall, the state has 551 ongoing outbreaks.

Overall, 529,080 Michigan residents have recovered from the virus, as of Feb. 19.
