Michigan reports 2,165 new COVID-19 cases, 148 deaths

(WXYZ) — There are 544,311 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 14,053 confirmed deaths in Michigan.

That's up 2,165 cases and 148 deaths from the day before.

Michigan's COVID-19 case rates have plateaued for the third week in a row, according to data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Per the CDC COVID Data Tracker, Michigan has the 23rd highest number of cases and the 14th highest number of deaths.

Percent positivity is at 7.6%, which is decreasing after a week of increase; testing has also increased.
