(WXYZ) — There are 531,004 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 13,672 total deaths in Michigan, the state reported Thursday.

That's up 2,698 cases and 139 deaths from the day before. The deaths announced today includes 107 deaths identified during a Vital Records review.

State officials said Michigan is in a "much better" place with its numbers now than it was at the beginning of November, but they are monitoring the numbers closely.
