(WXYZ) — All members of the Michigan State University football team have been ordered to quarantine or self-isolate after team members tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement from MSU Athletics, two staff members and one student-athlete tested positive after testing was conducted last week.

As part of the athletic department's return to campus policy, the university says student-athletes quarantine when coming into close contact with anyone who tests positive for COVID-19.

The university has designated areas available to house those in quarantine as needed based on living arrangements.

Testing will be repeated prior to their clearance to return to workouts.
