(WXYZ) — The State of Michigan reports 2,598 cases of COVID-19 and 29 deaths on Friday.
That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 533,602.
The number of deaths has climbed to 13,701.
State officials have said Michigan is in a "much better" place with its numbers now than it was at the beginning of November, but they are monitoring the numbers closely.
