State Rep. John Chirkun tests positive for COVID-19

(WXYZ) — State Rep. John Chirkun (D-Roseville), has tested positive for the coronavirus, he confirmed to 7 Action News Monday evening.

Chirkun may have been exposed to the virus during a deer hunting trip. Chirkun will be quarantined and not attending meetings at the Capitol this week.

He also wants to encourage everyone to "mask up, Michigan."
