(WXYZ) — The state senate has passed a bill that would free up funds to fight the coronavirus in Michigan.

House Bill 4729 authorizes $50 million for healthcare, $40 million for other needs, and $35 million in funds for additional spending should it become necessary.

The funds are also in addition to $25 million in total fund included in SB 151, which has already passed the state senate.

The bill now goes back to the Michigan House of Representatives for approval before it can be sent to Governor Whitmer.
