Trudeau extends U.S.-Canada border closure for non-essential travel until at least February 21, 2021

(WXYZ) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced an extension of the border closure between the United States and Canada for non-essential travel.

The closure which would have expired on Jan. 21 has been extended another 30 days until at least February 21, 2021.

"We'll continue to do whatever is necessary to keep Canadians safe," Trudeau wrote in a Twitter post.
