Couple charged in armed robbery of Sterling Heights AT&T store

(WXYZ) — A couple is facing a slew of charges for allegedly robbing an AT&T store in Sterling Heights on New Year's Eve.

According to Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith, Travon Perkins and Bianca Webb are each charged with three counts of armed robbery, four counts of felony firearm and one count of unlawful imprisonment. Perkins is also charged with felon in possession of a weapon.

Police say Webb and Perkins drove to the store, and that Webb went inside the store several times to act and look out for Perkins. It happened between 2 p.m and 3 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

Then, he allegedly walked into the store wearing a woman's wig, a surgical mask and sunglasses, and pointed a long-style gun at the three people inside the store – two employees and one customer.

Webb them allegedly zip-tied the three victims and had them lie on the ground, while Perkins walked around the store with a duffle bag, stealing phones, internet routers, bluetooth speakers and earbuds.

They both then allegedly took the three victims tot he bathroom in the back room.

One of the victims was able to call 911 from the back room, and police arrived.

Eventually, they conducted surveillance at Webb's home in Lincoln Park, where the vehicle used in the robbery was registered, and executed a search warrant. Inside the home, they found wigs, a mask, zip-ties and the stolen merchandise.

Also inside, they found 66 grams of cocaine, two digital scales, 80 Oxycodone pills, 103 Adderall pills and an unregistered 9mm handgun.

Webb is now also charged with several drug-related counts.

Both defendants have been arraigned and given $100,000 bond.
