A federal judge has set a hearing for Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's request to speed up the presidential recount in Michigan.

The court order asks a judge to force the state to recount ballots immediately instead of Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, which is the scheduled start.

U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith set the hearing for 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump filed an objection to the Michigan recount request.

Trump campaign lawyers said Stein, as a fourth-place finisher, is not "aggrieved" by any alleged fraud or mistake.

The Michigan Board of Canvassers voted 2-2 on whether to accept Trump's objection, which allows the process to move forward.
