WINDSOR, ON. — Smoke from a large fire in Windsor was seen from Detroit Sunday morning.
According to the Windsor Fire Department, the fire broke out at Serbu Tire, 1597 Howard Ave.

Notice of the fire was posted to the Windsor Fire Department Twitter page at 6:37 a.m. People were asked to stay away from the area, close windows and shelter in place.
The fire was under control by 10:44 a.m.. The building was not occupied at the time of the fire.

Damage to the tire shop included a collapsed roof and front wall. The fire did not spread to other buildings in the area.
