Bionka Lyons was excited as she prepared to welcome her first child, a baby boy. But Detroit Police say it appears someone wanted the pregnant postal worker dead.

Now, Crime Stoppers is joining the family and police in a plea for information that leads to an arrest.

Lyons and her unborn baby died after being shot multiple times on Crocuslawn near Griggs on Detroit's west side.

It was around 11:00 pm and Lyons had just exited her car after returning home from work when she was killed in front of the house she shares with her parents.

Detroit Police say the killer may have had a vehicle waiting nearby.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Any anonymous tipster who phones in the tip by midnight Friday will get an additional $1,000 cash.

The number to call is 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
