ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Roseville Police have installed a curbside drug disposal box in front of their department.
Police partnered with the Rite Aid Pharmacy Foundation Kid Cents program to allow residents a place to properly get rid off unwanted or unused medication.
Officers say neighbors expressed discomfort coming inside the department's lobby to dispose of medication, despite the no questions asked policy.
As a result the disposal box was placed outside the police department.
The bin is similar to a mailbox, but "highly secure and will allow anyone, not just Roseville residents to drive or walk up and dispose of any and all unwanted medications curbside."
