A popular fitness center owner is under fire after customers say he took their money and ran.
People arriving at the Michigan Barbell Total Fitness Center say the signs on the door left them with a sinking feeling. They say they were told some temporary remodeling would happen, but instead, the gym suddenly closed.
We spoke to Carl Jackson, the owner of the gym. He said 10 months after taking the location on Grand River, financial problems left him with the weight of the world.
Some customers recently bought plans paying cash. They now plan to sue the owner in court.
