A bicyclist has been listed in stable condition following a hit-and-run accident in Monroe Township Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to a report of an SUV versus bicycle collision on Kentucky Avenue around 9:50 a.m.
An investigation revealed 56-year-old Jeffrey D. Turner was riding his orange Margaritaville cruiser-style bicycle into the Milda Street intersection when a dark-colored SUV hit Turner from behind. He was ejected from his bike.
Police say the SUV left the scene in an unknown direction.
Turner was taken to Beaumont Hospital was he has been listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
