The heat is back this weekend with highs climbing into the 90s both Saturday and Sunday. Humidity will also be joining the heat this time around so heat index values will reach dangerous levels, which you'll definitely feel if you're outside long enough. Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend and will "feel like" the hottest day of the year.
"Alerts on top of alerts" are expected this weekend too. We already have an Air Quality alert in effect and we could have a Heat Advisory or Excessive Heat alert issued at some point this weekend.
With the increased heat and humidity, we'll also have the chance of storms on Sunday. There will be a few ingredients available for a couple storms to turn strong with higher severe weather chances northwest of Detroit. Be sure to stay weather aware this weekend too.
