Detroit police are investigating after they say a DDOT bus driver was assaulted at the Rosa Parks Transit Center downtown.

Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. as the driver was pulling into the terminal.

A passenger reportedly attacked the driver while the bus was still moving, causing the driver to crash into a brick flower bed.

Police have a suspect in custody, and the bus driver is now recovering at a nearby hospital.

He's expected to be OK.

There was minimal damage to the brick and bus, according to police.
