TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Taylor Fire Department is investigating a deadly explosion on Thursday night.
The city said a stove installation earlier in the day is part of that investigation.
"We ran over to it. It was engulfed in flames in just a matter of seconds," Eddie Cooper, a witness, said.
The city said a 911 call came in around 9 p.m. after the home exploded in the Robbinwood Mobile Home Park.
The homeowner was unfortunately inside at the time, and firefighters recovered her body.
Her identity hasn't been released, but neighbors and the victim's brother said the 66-year-old had just had a stove installed hours earlier.
The city said there's no confirmation of a reason for the explosion, but it is under investigation.
"Great lady. great lady. We'd cut her grass. She was going through some trials and tribulations with her own life," one neighbor said.
