Family at the scene tells 7 Action News that the victim is 33-year-old Christopher Marcilis.
His cousin said the family was shocked to get the phone call early this morning.
"Nobody want to wake up to that call," said Squanato Walter. "It's a messed up feeling."
A man was found shot to death on Detroit's east side this morning.
It happened near Chester Street and Neff Avenue, not far from I-94 and Moross.
The man's body was found in an alley near a furniture store. A car was found near the body with several bullet holes.
A group of employees who were leaving work around 2:30 a.m. tell us they walked up on a standoff between two men. That group ran back into the bar and then heard dozens of gunshots.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
