DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman has died in an overnight fire in Dearborn Heights.

Fire crews responded to the fire on Warren Avenue, at the Crestwood Estates mobile home community.

Deb Jolly and her neighbors were woken just after 2 a.m. in the darkness of Sunday morning with smoke still rising from the rubble. Firefighters responded quickly but were unable to save the 65-year-old woman inside the home.

“Our crews arrived to find the back bedroom completely involved in fire," a fire officials said Sunday. "Unfortunately, we found the resident in that room and she had passed away."

Neighbors tell 7 Action News that the victim had trouble walking.

Firefighters were able to stop flames from spreading to other homes in the community. There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
