A Delta plane getting ready to take off at Detroit Metro Airport was sent back to the gate after it was damaged in a collision with a tow tug.

According to a spokesperson for Delta, the flight to Raleigh-Durham was scheduled for 7:19 a.m., but on push back, the tow tug slid on the ice and collided with the airliner.

There wasn't much damage, but out of an abundance of caution, the plane returned to the gate where all passengers deplaned and will depart on a different aircraft at 9:35 a.m.

There were no injuries.
