One of the best-known restaurants in Birmingham is now just a memory.
Demolition is underway at Peabody's restaurant along Woodward.
Crews will be working this week to take the entire building down to make way for a 5-story shopping plaza.
The project includes underground parking, apartments and office space.
Peabody's closed its doors last July.
The restaurant was considered a staple in Birmingham since 1975.
