Fridays throughout the holiday season, we want to help you with your Christmas list with something special from right here in Michigan!

In our Detroit 2020 report, we show you a gift box company developed locally that may be the answer for the hard-to-buy-for man in your life.

Shopping for the man that has everything can be trying. You want something that is thoughtful and reasonably priced. This made in Michigan subscription club that may be your answer!

These three Michigan guys came up with a great concept, A Gentleman’s Box. In every delivery, the members receive grooming products and the hottest accessories like a cool tie, socks to match, a wallet or maybe even a watch.

But this trio decided to think outside of the box to make the experience special.

“You're discovering new styles; a lot of people are too confined within their own fashion,” John Haji explains.

“They stick to basic neutral so it's one way to help them step out of their comfort zone and discover new trends. Discover new colors, patterns and new styles.”

Each box also includes The Gentleman's Post, a guide detailing each item in your box, with fashion advice and smart tips on how to be your best. Their motto…Look Good, Feel Good, Be Good!

“We want to be able to help men become better men. It's not about putting stuff in a box and shipping it to you,” Christopher George explains.

Each box honors a specific gentleman. In April, it was Superman and one of the most popular months was August.

“We actually honored had a purple theme to it, it had a really nice purple tie, it had a really cool, matching purple pocket square, and it had these really cool wooden sunglasses that had kind of like a purple tint to it,” adds George.

This Royal Oak business began three years ago, with Christopher George, Paul Chambers and John Haji. This is their full-time job and now they have eleven employees on their team.

"I grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI, Paul grew up in Troy, and John in Madison Heights."

Since Michigan is their home, they also feature some local products.

"We do work with as many Michigan brands as possible. We like supporting the local community and we like supporting the local economy. Detroit Grooming Company is one."

The benefit of the gentleman's membership has its perks, each box contains about one hundred dollars in value but the price... for only twenty-five bucks a month.
