Detroit businessmen Stephen Ross and Dan Gilbert donated $10 million in a joint gift to Wayne State University Law School, according to a news release from the university.
The individual gifts of $5 million each are the largest donations in the history of the law school.
Wayne State says the funds will help the school continue to attract talented students from across the country.
Both Ross and Gilbert are alumni of Wayne State's law school.
“I am thrilled to have two of Wayne Law’s most successful and influential alumni unite to make this historic investment in the future of our law school,” Wayne Law Dean Jocelyn Benson said in a news release. “It is an honor to count them both as members of the Wayne Law family; their accomplishments and leadership are an inspiration for our entire community.”
