DETROIT (WXYZ) — The three Detroit commercial casinos made $1.454 billion in revenue during 2019, a new record.
Both MGM Grand and MotorCity Casino experienced their highest revenue totals since the casinos opened in 1999.
MGM Grand reported $623.5 million in yearly revenue while MotorCity reported $493.6 million.
Greektown Casino reported $337.2 million in yearly revenue, which fell short of the casino's all-time record of $352.8 million in 2011.
All three casinos paid the state $117.8 million in gaming taxes in 2019.
