(WXYZ) — A company in Detroit is dedicated to giving young people an opportunity to build a foundation for their futures.

The Sachse Construction Academy is offered to hundreds of high school students in the city. The academy's day-long course helps students gain skills to build their communities.

Dozens of trade partners, trade schools and unions show up and set up shop.

Our Andrea Isom takes a look at the steps of how to construct your own success.

For more information, visit SachseConstructionAcademy.com. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the academy will be virtual this year.
