DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Dog Rescue is seeking help after the shelter manager's car was stolen with much-needed items inside.
The white four-door Ford Fusion was stolen the day after Thanksgiving. Inside were donation items like leashes and treats, along with shirts for the shelter's volunteers.
Surveillance video shows the thieves busting the car's back window and slipping inside before pushing the sedan away.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the car is asked to call Detroit police.
"We do so much for our surrounding community and to be treated like this the day after Thanksgiving is heartbreaking," the organization said in a Facebook post.
